We ship pallets every day to America, Canada, Japan, China and Australia, but you can also have pallets sent by air from South Africa, Mexico, Korea or another destination. Sending pallets via air freight is an efficient way to send goods cheaply all over the world. Air freight is one of the most popular shipping methods for goods that need to be delivered relatively quickly. Pallets shipped by air freight are loaded into containers and then shipped with a selected air freight company. The duration is much shorter than, for example, sea freight, but longer than an express solution.

An invoice is required for an air freight export or import shipment (countries outside the EU). An incomplete invoice will not be accepted by customs and this will cause delays. Our colleagues are happy to go the extra mile, but as a company you are responsible for the complete and timely delivery of all necessary documentation. Please also note that the recipient may have to pay import duties or taxes on what is shipped via air freight.

Air freight rates

The air cargo rate is calculated per unit of kilograms by most airlines and the hated kilogram rate may vary by weight category. In air cargo, taxable weight is usually determined by multiplying each cubic metre by 166.67 kg. If a shipment of three cubic metres weighs 250 kilograms, then the dutiable weight is 500 kg (3 cubic metres x 166.67 kg). However, if the actual weight of the same shipment is 1500 kg (i.e. higher), then that is the actual number of kilograms that will be billed. So to know the chargeable weight (chargeable weight), first compare the actual weight with the volume weight. The chargeable weight is then highest weight from this comparison.
